Provisional advice

As a basis, release 100 Hypoaspis aculeifer per m² (once only per crop) to combat the thrips pupae.

In cases with a low level of thrips infestation, a minimum of 4000 A. swirskii slow-release bags per hectare should initially be set out. The introduction should be repeated every six weeks. It is also possible to release an appropriate number of predatory mites every two weeks using a blower.

Set out 20-50 Phytoseiulus persimilis predatory mites per m² in the first spider mite hot-spots. Introduce at least six Phytoseiulus persimilis per m² once spider mite is detected in more than one spot within a department. A. Amblyseius californicus could probably also contribute to combating carmine spider mite.
