Introduction
Aubergine (Eggplant) is a crop in which many different infestations feel perfectly at home. Thrips and whitefly as well as broad mite can cause significant problems.
Aubergine flowers produce pollen on which the A. cucumeris and A. swirskii predatory mites can feed themselves in infestation-free situations as well. Aubergine leaves are covered with dense hairs, which makes it extra difficult for A. cucumeris predatory mites to move about. Amblyseius swirskii appears to have less difficulty with this.
The use of Amblyseius swirskii gives you even greater security with regard to reliable integrated crop protection.
