Practical experiences
Practical experience is still limited. One Dutch grower has gained limited experience in this field, described in the article on Amblyseius swirskii in 'Onder Glas', October 2005.
There have now also been cases of successful application in France. The first predatory mites were introduced here during the propagation phase, followed by a number of introductions following potting. Several predatory mites could be found on each leaf very soon after the introduction of A. swirskii. Together with parasitic wasps, they provide adequate protection against both glasshouse whitefly and cotton whitefly.
