Introduction

Thrips and whitefly can be troublesome infestations in strawberry crops. The use of Amblyseius cucumeris slow-release bags is standard. These are often hung up once, just before flowering. It is not always enough to just release the parasitic wasps to combat whitefly. With the arrival of Amblyseius swirskii, and in particular the release by means of slow-release bags, the integrated approach to combating whitefly may be made simpler.
