Advice
Introduce Amblyseius swirskii slow-release bags as soon as the plants touch each other and slight whitefly, thrips and/or spider mite damage is detected. Dosage: approx. 3,000 slow-release bags per hectare. As soon as whitefly is found on sticky traps or detected in the crop, start to release Encarsia formosa predatory wasps on a weekly basis until an adequate parasitic rate has been achieved. Supplement this with the use of Eretmocerus eremicus if the climate starts to get warmer, and Eretmocerus mundus if cotton whitefly is present. In areas where the damage increases, correction is possible by means of spraying with MYCOTAL+ADDIT. Leaf miner can cause significant damage to foliage. A. swirskii has no effect on this infestation, so parasitic wasps should be introduced to combat it: Dacnusa sibirica and/or Diglyphus isaea, depending on the season and the extent of the damage.
